I’ve never assessed the role of palm oil in my life until recently. I read an article which said we consume palm oil every day, multiple times a day.  Palm oil is grown throughout Africa, Asia, North America, and South America, with 85% of all palm oil globally produced and exported from Indonesia and Malaysia; but most of the time not using sustainable measures.

The industry is linked to major issues such as deforestation, habitat degradation, climate change and animal cruelty  in the countries where it is produced. According to the World Wildlife Fund, an area the equivalent size of 300 football fields of rainforest is cleared each hour to make way for palm oil production. This large-scale deforestation is pushing many species to extinction, and findings show that if nothing changes species like the orangutan could become extinct in the wild within the next 5-10 years, and Sumatran tigers in less than 3 years. This got me thinking, what can I do for the environment?!!  So I started off in my own bathroom, eliminating what I saw had Palm Oil and its derivatives.

I was astonished to see the amount of palm oil in toothpaste and embarked to find myself an alternative to what I was using. As a rigorous tooth brusher I wanted not only a palm oil-free toothpaste but an all round good quality one.  This is when I discovered and fell in love with LEBONLEBON is a French luxury toothpaste.  It is palm oil-free, paraben-free, triclosan-free and fluoride-free. It is made with 100% natural flavours and no artificial sweeteners.  And to top it all off, it is cruelty-free and vegan!  What more could you want out of toothpaste I thought…  Well, great flavour is always appreciated, and LEBON delivered on that front also.  LEBON comes in three amazing flavours, Fresh-Mint, Cinnamon-Mint and Liquorice-Mint.

Do yourself a favour and throw out your half-used tube of toothpaste and get yourself a tube of LEBON instead, trust me you won’t be disappointed!!!
