As we relax into Autumn Racing, bright coloured dresses and light hats are replaced with longer hemlines and felt.

The haute hippie vibe certainly made it’s presence at the recent AW runway shows. 70’s inspired suits with hight waist lines, wide-leg pants, statement blazers with broad shoulders worn with crispy shirts and silk blouses. Jennifer Hawkins opened up the Myer AW show in a white flared pant suit.
Is this the trend we will be seeing this coming Autumn Racing Season….I think so!

The pant suit totally appeals to me. It is sexy, powerful and suitable for all seasons. It’s novelty stands in the variety of silhouettes, from the 70’s pant suit to tuxedo inspired, skinny and cropped. But please if you’re shorter than Naomi Campbell only wear a wide-leg pant if you’re prepared to wear sky high heels!

Teamed up with a fabulous felt hat, I’m tipping the suit will be a dominant race day look. I am certainly looking forward to experimenting with a few styles off the catwalk. I will also be heading to Flemington for the annual Myer Autum fashion Lunch on the 12th of March. It is a showcase of all things Autumn Racing, from great food to fabulous fashion show full of latest trends for on track!

A few of my favourites for this  Autumn Racing Season….
